My husband and I enjoy riding but sometimes we each want some sound going besides the engine. We've used Shark system speakers on a previous pair of bikes we rode and we liked the price of these so we got them for my Harley. Before I was trying to use my iPod without much success; ear buds don't keep enough sound out and headphones don't do well with my helmets, plus I want to hear from speakers when we're stopped resting. These fit the bill nicely and were super-easy to install (I know, because I helped him!)

Here are the things I've noted:
Speaker brackets are not described on the page - They must use existing or newly drilled bolts for mounting. The Shark speaker handle bar conversions cause them to be mounted sideways on your handlebars. I ended up making these look nice by mounting with windshield bolts down near the gas tank.
250W power... The amp may be but each of your speakers are only 50W. There is a port for a subwoofer but the manual says it only handles 60W. How you are supposed to use 250W with this setup is beyond me without buying larger speakers and throwing away the ones that come with it.
Speakers may be waterproof (I have my doubts) but the AMPLIFIER IS NOT!!! This amplifier makes no sense for motorcycles! The usb and sd card slots are open enough you can see circuit boards inside the amp. The HUGE (Yeah right) light up display can only be viewed from an angle... this means you have to mount the amp on the front of the bike, with the card slots facing UP (yeah, rain) when it is not waterproof if you want to be able to control the radio. In addition, the amplifier mounting holes do not make sense for a motorcycle... the amount of flat area required to use the mounting holes does not exist on any bike I've ever seen. I ended up using a windshield bolt, drilling a new hole in the amp, and breaking off one of the mounting brackets to make it fit. Now I have electrical tape covering all the openings in the amp in case of rain.
Cables... The speaker cables will go from one end of the bike to another... the amp power cable barely made it from the front to the battery... it took some creative routing and removing the seats and gas tank.
Instructions... are non-existent. Forget about it, don't even open them. There are no installation instructions and the use instructions are incorrect and do not even include the remote.
Remote... Has to be pointed straight at amp IR port... worthless if you hide the amp.
For all of this criticism the system sounds good - installed in a few hours, and works. We'll see for how long.
I gave this 3 stars because if you have the time and creativity, you can make it work and sound good.

These speakers are great but the price makes this a KILLER DEAL. These super loud speakers work flawlessly and their sound quality is 5-stars. The remote is a MUST-HAVE ITEM and I'm thrilled about it and how simple it is to operate (not just for volume but station changes too). We have the chrome and they stay looking nice. I doubt there is currently a better value out there for Shark speakers.
